A Third of Safest Cities in Pennsylvania Are in the Philadelphia Area

Philadelphia and the surrounding five counties are known for their beauty: quaint historic houses, rolling green hills and beautiful landscaping. But now this area is known for reasons other than the neatly manicured lawns and beautiful hills. Safewise.com compiled a list of the 50 safest cities in Pennsylvania, using the latest FBI data and including only those cities that have populations of 10, 000 or more.

Just over one-third of the cities on that list are in Montgomery County, Bucks County and Chester County. Number two on the list — the second-safest city in Pennsylvania — is Upper Uwchlan, in Chester County.
